The Friary School places a high priority on ensuring that our students look beyond their international-students-at-the-friaryimmediate home, city and region and appreciate they have a place in the wider world around them.

As part of this commitment, the school participates in the Educatis UK scheme which sees overseas students enjoy long-term placements at our school so that they can experience life in the UK, and our students can experience the outlook and ties with others outside their ‘normal’ peer group.

This year we are delighted to welcome Giovanni Di Lieto from Italy and Tobias Faber from Denmark who partake in a daily curriculum with fellow Sixth Formers, as well as taking part in a range of social and  cultural events designed to encourage interaction between ‘home and away’ students.

The Educatis UK scheme of just one of our international programmes and, as well as a series of field trips and partnership projects through the year, we also have three German trainee teachers from the University of Wuppertal.
