Year 5 students from St Stephen’s, Fradley, spent the morning working at The Friary on Religious Education work connected to the real meaning of Christmas.
The students were absolutely fantastic – enthusiastic, keen and thoughtful – qualities which are recombined to produce some excellent wok.
The project consisted of thinking about the Christmas they wanted verses the Christmas they needed. Subsequently, they thought about those who would not be having a Happy Christmas this year and wrote a prayer / wish about it.
Kelly Harrell, Head of RE, said: “The Year 5 students had a really good morning and were a credit to their school. We worked with their teachers to think about the real and spiritual elements of Christmas and the work produced reflected the care and consideration the children gave to it.”
