The Friary School’s continuing work with the Lichfield St Chad Rotary continued today when representatives took the time to visit the school to meet with and present awards to Flynn Mulligan (Y7) and Sophie Grew (Y12) for their Top 3 placings in the Rotary You Photographer Competition.

The Rotary Club of Lichfield St Chad has served the community of Lichfield for over thirty-six years, raising much needed funds for many local charities and running projects to foster community spirit and to encourage the talents of our young people.

The Club also has helped establish a thriving Interact Club (one of over 20,000 round the world), based at the Friary School. This enthusiastic group of young people meets regularly and arranges various activities throughout the year to raise funds for good causes with recent work seeing students co-ordinate the collection of teddy bears for The Teddy Trust.

Matt Allman, Headteacher, said: “The Lichfield St Chad Rotary Club is an organisation that does great work for the school and the community. Certainly, with their charity support, competitions and genuine interest, they make the lives of our students all the richer.”
