The U13 Boys Hockey ran out 6-1 winners against Lichfield Cathedral School who are taking their first forays into hockey this season.

Both sides showed real talent but the experience of The Friary team shone through as a 1-1 half-time score turned into a 6-1 victory.

Amidst superb performances all round, especially in the second half, Charlie Allarton’s passing was a delight throughout , Jake Davis-Allsop scored a great hat-trick, Jacob Mieleniewski’s debut brought a goal, and Harrison Castree got player-of-the-match for his defensive skills and outlays to the wing to set attacks in motion.

The team has grown from strength-to-strength throughout the season and we are looking forward to future games against Lichfield Cathedral School as their team will no doubt develop in a similar fashion.
