Year 11 students had assemblies all week which were co-ordinated by Mr Cain. They included planning skills, revision techniques, stress-busters, and a push on motivating and driving yourself to achieve.
The sessions tie into the extensive work going on in school which has seen increased after-school boosters and the introduction of the popular Saturday School.
Oli Forster, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The Focus Week in many ways teaches nothing new – we have always taught he skills – but it has sought to focus minds and impress urgency. Time is short, but there is still plenty of time, and every lesson and every weekend need to be focused on study. Nowadays exam results stay with you so every student needs to make them count.”
