On Wednesday 28th November 2007 fifty-eight year
six pupils from Christ Church Primary School came to The Friary to help us
celebrate the schools’ specialist status.
Ten Sports Leaders from the year 11 Btec group took charge
of a number of activities in the sports hall, which included rugby, football
and basketball.
Our pupils did a fantastic job of coaching the younger
pupils and both the Christ Church pupils and our own year 11 pupils enjoyed the
sessions.

The pupils were also able to see
and meet Matt Murray a former Friary pupil, who now plays in goal for Wolves.
He very kindly came to present the U13 girls’ football team with their trophy;
which they won earlier in the month when they competed in the Aston Villa
tournament.
Matt also presented inter form football medals to the
winning boys and girls teams.
In the year seven
girls inter form football competition 7Y took the title.
