Two members of the Loughborough Lightning Netball Team spent the day with Friary pupils from Year 8 to Year 11, putting them through their paces and improving their netball skills. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and worked hard for the coaches.

The visiting players, who also represent their countries, were Olivia Murphy, ex England Captain who has received 92 caps and Rebecca James, a Welsh International. These players are part of a scheme that is aiming to develop netball in schools.

Loughborough Lightning currently play in the Netball Super League and can been see on Sky Sports on a Thursday evening.
