ESFA U15 Girls' School Cup Competition Update |

|
The ESFA U15 Girls' Round 5 fixture against Meadowhead School, Sheffield was held at The Friary School on Wednesday 9th December 2009.
The pitch conditions proved to be heavy going as the pitch was particularly muddy after all the rain we had had over the past week or so; but at least the rain held off during the match.
Meadowhead proved challenging; they had won their previous matches, 5-0, 10-1 and 6-2, so we knew they were a formidable team.
At half time the score stood at 1-1 with Alex Liddiard scoring the first goal for The Friary School. At full time the score line read 2-2 with Alex Liddiard again scoring for The Friary. This took the match into extra time.
After what was a very tense first half of extra time the score was still 2-2. In the second half of extra time however, Josie Balla managed to find the back of the net and took Friary in to a 3-2 lead. This turned out to be the final score and so Friary now move on to round six and in to the last sixteen.
Good luck girls and well done.
